Since its founding in 2006, Embee Studio has adapted and evolved with the changing media landscape. In the early days of Embee, the primary focus was high-end DVD and Blu Ray authoring. During the first several years, Embee Studio created hundreds of DVD titles; everything from educational DVD and niche independent films to Oscar nominated works. Even though DVDs and Blu Rays are not the sole distribution mediums for most content owners, Embee Studio still provides those services and is among the top authoring facilities in the country with experience and technical expertise that is second to none.
Today Embee Studio primarily focuses on content creation services – video production, graphic design, illustration and interactive media. Mike and Beth Bell, the founders of Embee are able to take on virtually any media-based project with Mike’s technical skills and Beth’s illustration and design talent. In 2014, they were awarded the highest honor from the Telly Awards, a silver Telly, for their kickstarter video created for Cable Car Cinema in Providence. Telly awards are sought-after by industry leaders and recognize the finest film and video productions in the country.
As a husband-and-wife team, Mike and Beth work together through all stages of projects that require both technical and art-related know-how. In Mike and Beth’s work environment, they bounce ideas off one another constantly, leading to more creative and inventive end products. Together they achieve a perfect union of art and technology.
