MIKE AND BETH BELL
Mike, The Tech Guy:
Mike Bell has been working in the media industry since the late 1990s. While pursuing his dream of being a professional skateboarder, he still found time to pursue his second passion – filmmaking. Using skateboarding as his subject, Mike created many promotional videos for aspiring skaters and skateboarding brands through the 90s. In 1998 he produced “Messin’ Around” a critically acclaimed skateboarding film featuring the some of the best athletes of the day.
After skateboarding, he went on to work in the New England film and media production industry and ran one of the largest production facilities in the Boston area for almost 10 years. During these years, Mike devoted himself to learning as much as he could about media production and has since used those skills to create his own business. He continues to explore all types of media in the constantly evolving technological landscape.
Beth, The Artist:
Beth Braganca Bell studied illustration at Mass Art and works as the Art Director at Embee Studio. While she collaborates with her husband Mike on many projects, creating motion graphics and illustrations,  she also does her own design work. The style of Beth’s art focuses mainly on organic subject matter and is mostly black and white. She loves playing with repetitive shapes and is fascinated by manipulating lines to create images often inspired by flora and fauna.
After graduating from Mass Art and before founding Embee, Beth freelanced on many different art projects, designing images for logos, business cards, invitations and other collateral. Following the birth of their twin daughters in 2006, Beth began to work more closely with Mike to bring her artistic eye to his multimedia projects. Today Beth has begun to further develop her personal brand and now sells her artwork on Etsy.
